Up for let is my G&L M2K Tribute. I bought it last summer on a (drunken) whim. Very nice bass. Unfortunately I got laid off last month so I'm selling non-essentials. My 3 L2Ks are entirely essential, so the M has to go.

Some weird person did this review of this exact bass:

This is the first M2K Tribute I've seen listed on talkbass, so act fast! Or not! It's really up to you!

Bass is pretty much perfect. No more than a few hours playtime, and no gigging. What I've learned from the M2K is that my dream bass would be an L2K with the M2K's eq section. Otherwise I just prefer the L2Ks. Neck is slim and very fast and comfortable. Gun-oil type finish.

    Asking [DEL]$25,000+ shipping[/DEL] reduced to $400+ shipping!

Would probably trade for an L2500! You never know!

    !!!

    M2Kfront.

    M2Kbridge.

    M2Kback.

    M2Khead.

    M2Kheadback.

    Egregious group shot:

And now for something completely different!

BUMP! because WillieB bumped it and because the word "egregious" makes me think of losing my virginity. The second time.

18 volts to rule the world!

And I prefer the L2K over the M2K for the exact same reason someone else would prefer the M2K over the L2K.

Also, new G&L gig-bag included. Forgot to mention that. It's a very nice bag, btw.

VERY nice bass! Love it. Wish the nut was 1-1/2", but regardless, its only 1/8" difference.
Hey Badjazz, what's the bridge string spacing? Thanks.

17.5, like all my other G&Ls.

The neck definitely feels like a jazz neck compared to my L2Ks. Very slim and comfortable. Nice "slick" finish.

To willieb!: Yes, it is active only. I guess you could take the batteries out. Not sure how that works.

If I wouldn't have just scored a 1990 SB1 (which has depleted my already low bass fund) I'd take it.
But with 3 G&Ls, a Squire P and a Michael Kelly Club Custom 5, me thinks it would be a hard sell on the home front.
    Hope you move it quickly!
