$875 shipped within CONUS, won't ship outside of there. No trades as I'm needing cash. Built circa 1995 based on serial number. As you'd expect to find on a 25 year old bass, there are a few love taps, here and there, including a few dings on the headstock and body. Normal pick guard swirling (that's what it's there for). This is a great sounding, great playing, good looking, well broken in, Precision-style bass. Alder body, rosewood fretboard #12 neck, 1 5/8" tweener nut width I made the following mods: Replaced the stock MFD pickup with the Lollar vintage P (that's the sound I needed at the time), both pickups are included in this deal, so you could return it easily to the stock MFD pickup (shown in pics) for a more modern precision sound. Dunlop Strap locks (original strap buttons included) Strung with Labella Flexible Flats The back of the neck was very sticky to me when I received it, and didn't come clean with Dunlop 65 and elbow grease. So I sanded down the back of the neck and applied a wax/oil treatment, similar to US EBMM and US Lakland basses. It feels as satiny smooth as a baby's bottom now. Weight of the bass is 8lbs 3.5 oz on my digital scale as shown in pics. Comes in a generic hard case (shown in pic) here are pics before the pickup swap. I will add pics with the Lollar pickup:
Whoa- great color, light weight and a Carlos-inspired finish on the neck worth booko bucks in itself. If I wasn't holding so much P I'd be all over this one. GLWTS.
Great looking gal. I just don't have the time to put into working the truck stop for the cash right now. GLWTS
If I had not ordered a Matador (the new 2 P model) after NAMM, I'd be on this one. Doing business with Gary is the way to go. Fantastic guy and what a bass for $750!!!
I am deciding to keep the bass, rather than give it away. Might just play it until the frets wear out.
back on the market, and here are the pics with the Lollar pickup installed. Covid killed the band that I needed the vintage P sound for.
