Well, two went East to you in Jawja.

This one came West and I think it's staying: 9.5 lbs of bone-crushing tone:
  4. I have no complaints from my Tribute L2000. Let me tell ya, the tribute line gives you alot of bang for your buck. Every G&L I've heard sounds awesome, they truly are an untapped resource. Very underrated, Hope this helps.

+1 You'll lose nearly 40% of the new price when you re-sale. I know firsthand!
  6. Ive got one, G&L's have a very wide variety of tones that can be dialed in but for some reason none of the tones are exactly what I liked. I would get a Musicman or a Fender instead of a G&L. Me, I just got all three ;)

Oh absolutely! Of course most of the time with musical gear when you buy new you'll take a beating when you sell. It does seem worse w/ G&L. My solution? I buy used and buy often :bassist:

(of course then I flip 'em cheap here to all the rest of you guys... :meh:)

I think that's the best way to describe the tone I've heard yet: bone-crushing.

    I like my G&Ls!

I've only got the SB-2 left out the three above but the money I got for the Asat a couple of weeks back is going straight back out on either a JB-2 or an L-2000

    I just love G&Ls...Jay
  18. Hey all,

I have an 2005 L2500 (US) and LOVE it. I currently am using my Pedulla more, but my G&L is here to stay.

PROS: Excellent craftsmanship, finishes, various switching options for pickups, aggressive & powerful, sounds full & thick with plenty of definition in a band or recording environment.

    CONS: A bit heavy.

    Here's mine:

  19. Thought it would be fun to post these:

    GLJB2full. GLJB2front.
