I have recently bought a Ampeg 2x10 cab and for some reason if I play any G the grill buzzes, but not with any other note. It must be the resident freq of the grill.

Anyways is this common? Can I fix it? Should I just take it off? Suggestions?

  2. Sympathetic resonance . stick some duct tape on in the center of the grill. This might work.

  4. Some felt dots at the mount points behind the grill should stop it.

Thanks b. That helped alot. I put some felt dots like the ones between the strap nuts and the bass body between the grill and cab and between the screws and the grill, so kind of sandwiched the grill with felt (washers) and it was gone. No more noise at all, sounds awesome now. Thanks alot.
