Hi, I have recently switched from Innovation silver slaps to set of gut-a-like strings and the new g-string is completely in the slot of the nut. My understanding is that the string should just sit slightly in the groove. I have read that there are lots of possible remedies for this such as raising and then filing the nut, filling the gap with superglue etc. but do I need to do anything about this as it doesn't seem to be creating any buzzing or alter the way that the string plays as far as I can tell? Or is it something that could affect the string over time? Thanks
as long as its playing fine and you dont see anything wrong, and dont mind the action.......... its good
