Well yestarday I was in the magizine aisle of Kroger and saw a GuitarWorld magizine and it said Metallica is making another album. Let discuss this topic.
same here about the snares. i will go listen to it at my local music store and if i can hear robert trujillo then i may get it.
Hopefully they won't spend millions trying to recreate the sound of a garage band again. I'm pretty sure the tunes on St. Anger were great, at least they sounded that way through the camera's mic on the documentary, but on the album, I couldn't tell, because all I could hear was that stupid snare ringing endlessly like a bad Atari 2600 sound effect.
The great thing about this is where are finally going to have studio recordings with Robert! Im sure he will get them back in shape.
This is Awesome News ! Their has been talk that Metallica is going to work with Rick Ruben instead of Bob Rock on this next album so will have to see what happens.I cant wait to hear what they do next.
I just saw the documentary, and all the music I heard on it sounded great, worthy of the Metallica name. But on record it sounds like crap . . . a shame.
If Ruben comes onboard and Trujillo gets some real input we could actually see something really good. Lets all hope so!
Which is funny, because I heard the new stuff live before I heard the CD and the live stuff sounded great... CD sounded not so good
I hope this album is better than St. Anger... well hell anyting was better than that whiney over snared crap of a cd. Pick it up boys where did the thrash days go?
Early metallica was a bit too bogan-esque for me. Master Of Puppets was the shiz though. St. Anger was rubbish. I personally think the only reason metallica got bagged out when the changed their style to the Load and Reload days is because of the whole Napstar crap that went down. Those albums werent THAT bad. But hey, I guess their main support was from thrash head bogans, so, whatya expect....
