Galactic style music?

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by count_funkula, Sep 19, 2001.

  1. I been listening to Galactic a lot lately and I'm really enjoying that type of music. What are some other good bands that fit that style?

I also have a Greyboy Allstars CD.

    -Robert Walter and 20th congress
-Stanton Moore (Galactic drummer) solo CD
-VA-Gina Figliuolo Presents : Vol. 1-Jams-Don't Call Us Jamb
-Greyboy Allstars (but you already metioned them)

I have heard the music style referred to as swamp funk and a type of acid jazz

BTW: I have all of the CDs above and all the Galactic CDs

They all have great bass players

Try Living Daylights and Happy Apple. They're in roughly the same genre; both have killing drummers, too.
