http://www.gallistrings.com/inglese/scheda_prodotto.asp?id_cat=1&id_sot=15&id_sot_2=24&id_pro=126 This are my strings for my Spector rebop 5 for a year now. I tried many strings in my bass life and I was searching for the holly grail an it seams I found him. Very interesting is B string gauage.
They look very nice. Some great bassists used them, basically overseas. Some of the players I admire that use them are Randy Hope-Taylor and Linley Marthe. However, I looked, and a medium gauge 45-125 stainless steel set is just over 40 Euro. That's over $50. That's a lot of money for us Americans, unless an endorsement is to be had. I don't think I could justify that -- I have a hard enough time justifying using DRs.
I saw my U.S. supplier has 4 string sets for 19.99 and 5 string sets for 24.99. That seems reasonable. Sorry, missed that this was a zombie thread!
