Gallien Krueger backline 350 replacing top cover?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by ross77, Jul 10, 2014.

  1. Hi,

So, this is probably an odd question. I recently bought a second hand GK backline115, but the speaker was blown (no rip in the cone not sure what's wrong with it). So I took out the head (which is the same as the GK backline 350). The head works fine but is missing the top cover. See pics

Does anyone know what suitable materials I could use to make my own cover for this head? Can I use wood, and what should I do to make sure it's safe?

  2. Why not just contact GK and explain your need. They can probably ship you a replacement.

Edit: Failing that a sheet metal shop should be able to fabricate something suitable.
