    Heres what im lookin at.

    Gallien-Krueger 800RB Amp

    Bi-Amp, High Spk 100W 8 ohms, Low Spk 300W 4 ohm

    210RBS 2 x 10" 8 ohm 200 watt enclosure

    115RBS 1 x 15" 8 ohm 200 watt enclosure

ok, SO whats it worth? It seems liek a good enough setup to me so what would be a good deal, and waht would be the value of it?

  2. Ballpark? Probably around $8 - 900. I see the 800RB go for between 3 & 400 and cabs hovering around the $250 mark. Add another 8 ohm 15" cab & you've got yourself a nice monster (In my GK lovin' opinion).

I used that same setup several times on a gig. Very nice sounding rig and plenty of power.

I ran it bi-amped and full range. I actually preferred the sound full range. I didn't have time to experiment with the crossover frequency though so that could account for it.

so if i could get it for under 600, that would be an outstanding deal?

  5. Depending on the condition, I'd say that's a real good deal. I'd leap on that (& get the extra 15" cab w/all the dough you're saving).

$ 600 for that amp and the cabs would be a pretty good deal.

I have owned a GK 800RB for years, and although I no longer use it as my primary, it's an excellent amp.

Good luck with your pending deal.

Can't even pick up a used 800RB for what you're asking.

About $150-200 per cab. I bought mine new for $340 each, sold the 210RBS for $225 in mint condition (never gigged) and bought the 410RBS with the money plus another $100.

$600 would be a good deal for that setup, I've used it (410 instead of 210) and really enjoyed it. Went back to my 400RB-III though, sold my 800RB for a heckuva profit.

The RBS are my favorite cabs, better than RBH or SBX IMO. I like the punchy sealed cabs and I prefer to run full range.

just gigged my new 800RB with a VX410 cab with papercones!

and it owns! to think im just using the 100w channel on full range. what more on the 300watts and on bi amp!

if its no hassle for you to bring a head and two cabs then go for the 800RB and a 2x10 or 4x10 cab plus a 1x15 cab.

or just a 4x10 cab will do already!

havent tried them other GK models but compared to what i've used and seen here... My GK 800RB is the new BadAss on the block!

Discontinued around '03. The RBS was the predecessor to the SBX, only they didn't have horns. Just the way I like 'em.
