our very own gard lewis has his name dropped in the new NS eub ad. this ad is in the latest BP ish.

his name is right next to les claypool's (oysterhead).

[edit: i had done some looking in this forum for threads mentioning this, but i didn't find any. if this was mentioned anywhere previously and i didn't detect it, it's not b/c i'm lazy...it's b/c i'm stupid! :D ]

also, the advertisers kinda screwed the copy.

for example, tony levin is credited as TONY LEVIN (Peter Gabriel)

but gard is credited as GARD LEWIS (Rico Monaco and

no "the Sol Sons)" to give any closure or properly credit gard!

the whole problem would probably have been abated if RM&SS went by RAMASS.

  3. yeah, but would ram-ass be a wise term to represent yourself with?:D

oh, it's been a running gag for awhile. just keepin' it alive is all.

and that's strange how the advertisers messed up on gard's credential. well, at least his name is on there. and maybe the mysterious "and ... " will create some intrigue? maybe?

    ...BZZZZZT-POP!!!!

...hey, you keep up that "RAMASS" stuff and no more trying out amps for you, young man!

    :p

...and in the latest Guitar & Bass Buyer's Guide, there is a full page version of that ad, my name is in it THREE times, with the full "Rico Monaco and Sol Sons" in it.

    :D

    ouch! :D

yeah! it's that exact ad. full page, with your name in it not once, not twice, but THRICE!

but on only one was it more than just GARD LEWIS, where they screwed up your band's name.

btw-last night on the radio, my mom and i heard stevie wonder's "don't worry about a thing." then i played her your guys' version. winnin' 'em over for ya, one by one! :D

  9. Well I'll be; it's right there on page 69! :)

Congrats there, Gardman. I never had my name in a music magazine... :(

But my picture was in the Post Office for a few months once and I had to wear dark glasses and a hat for a while. :p

    Seriously, way to go, Gard.

so i guess this means gard is sponsored by ns designs?

as i understand it, you get sponsored AFTER you buy that company's stuff. funny how that works out, especially if it is a $3000 instrument and you get a class c or d deal where you get to pay half of retail or whatever.

    strange.
