Gary Clark, Jr. at Lollapalooza
I heard that he was good. I had three bands to see in this time slot and didn't get to see him. At festivals you gotta pick and choose.
I saw them a while back in San Antonio. Very good band, great energy, very good bass player. They did a great Movin On Up cover at the end of the show.
Clark is great. Saw him on public TV "Great Performances" from Clapton's guitar festival. He had a different band behind him there.
I saw him as an open act for Clapton in São Paulo, Brazil.
He is amazing, totally rocked everybody out. He sounds a lot like a mixture beetwen Hendrix and Clapton: very agressive yet very controlled.
And of course, came back to the stage to play Crossroads with God.
EDIT: Here it is:
Oh man, he blew me away when I saw him at Sasquatch. I was up on the front barrier to see him, straight center, and it was just amazing. Did he play the Third Stone from the Sun medley? Because that just floored me. So great.
