GAS and TB got the best of me this winter...

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by karposvt, Mar 25, 2009.

  1. So for the past 6 years I've had 1 bass (my "Custom" '75RI Jazz below), a tuner and my Ampeg rig. I "found" TB in December and since then added these to the lineup:

I also got an Acoustic B200H and B115, a pedalboard, Sansamp VT bass, BBE Compressor, switched all my basses to flatts, and still have more on the list!

I think TB is a very, very bad place for me to hang out.

    But thanks guys:D

Yeah I'm a victim too. Started with one bass about two years ago and now have 5! GAS is a bad, bad thing. Especially when your lady doesn't mind if you buy new stuff because she loves to hear you play. . .
  7. And you have tort!!

    You listened!!

oh its nice don't get me wrong. I am not complaining!
  10. I have a very understanding wife also, which is bad news for the bank account.

TB has given me GAS which was totally inexistent prior to me discovering the site. In fact, I think I'm going to blame all of you

    TB is like free porn.
  16. Ha, you guys are horrible. Stop making me want more!!!

With the exception of a couple of pedals, I'm done for now. The bank account needs to take a breather for a bit...

Every time I say that I make the mistake of going into the effects forum. Of all the forums here, that one has done the most damage.

    These guys are not joking.
    It happened to me.
  20. Same here, turning 30, less than a year on TB...and it's a good thing I'm not in the US because I would have double than I have now :D
    When I joined in May I had a Squier Jazz and a No Name ABG...now I have 6 (I think?!) two of which are custom, a fretless, an 8 string, a 7 string...looking into a 759 string...

And all this time I don't have a reasonable explanation for all of this. The only thing my mind is telling me is that I need it...need...brai...basses...damn why is the luthier so slow?
