Sometimes Craigslist pays off in spades.
Just came in with this USA G&L L-2500 an hour ago.
Really good condition and great looking birdseye neck.
Five stringers seemed really foreign to me in the store.
This thing just rocks my sox off. I like G&L's.
(Fender Jazz bass for sale, not, maybe, haha.)
Picked up the LMII last week.
Now all I need is one of those lightweight neo filled cabs.
    Taking to practice tomorrow nite.

Score! That's a nice piece of wood. You and your band will love it at practice, G&L basses sit in the mix better than anything else ime.

  6. WOW!!! that neck is a beauty!!!!

I recently tried an MB and and was totally blown away. Sounds fantastic and you can put it in your pocket. Sure beats the "movability" factor of my SVT...

Nice score. Your L2500 is the same color scheme as mine (which is funny, because there's no color). Only difference is mine isn't American and there's no birdseye in the neck. So I guess yours is the rich American cousin to my bass.

Still, you're going to enjoy it!

Played the bass for three hours with a partially new band tonite. First real test of the bass, and I really liked it.
Guitar player was weirded out as he couldn't figure out where I was playing. When I told him the E string was actually a low B, he said he wants me to bring back my 4 string jazz.

  12. that neck is crazy!
