Gauge for high F???

  1. Just wondered what gauge string people are using for their high F's on 7 and 8 string basses?

    I use a plain .018 - came in the Conklin SIT seven string set. Nice! I was originally sceptical of a plain string, thinking its sound would stand out too much compared to the wound strings. I was wrong. It sounds good.
