I know... Another Shuttle thread?!?!?!?!?!!!!????? :bag:

OK, so I got one and played it at a 3000 seat auditorium with a 1x15 MESA Powerhouse 8 ohm cabinet...

    Here's what I found:
    Great tone with minor tweaking
Lots of Headroom (I like to play LOUD!!!)
DI was clean - FOH & Monitor Mixers were happy

In the same room I've used:
    1. WALTER WOODS 600/450
    2. THUNDERFUNK 550A (currently own)
    3. LINE 6 LD 400 HD
    4. Rack Set up - (currently own)
CARVER/CLAIRE BROS 600+ Watts Per Channel w/BBE MaxT Preamp
    6. AGUILAR 500C 1x12

The Shuttle blew me away!!! Very pleased and wondering...
    Should I:
try the MB LMII 800 watt?
seriously drop prices to sell the rack?
get the MESA Carbine M6 or is that too heavy?
have I wasted money due to TB G.A.S.?
    should I get 2 1x12 cabinets?

I love a very clean and fat sound w/o being too hi-fi...

Two 1-12s cabs is my favourite setup. I run a LMII with two UL112S1s and sounds fantastic and is super portable. I'd bet money that a genz shuttle would sound great as well with my two cabs. IME epifani and the shuttle go very well together.

I'm a MESA or AGUILAR fanN but thanks!!!!

  4. If you think the Shuttle/Mesa combo sounded excellent, then stick with it! Sell your other gear and just rock that rig!

Used 6,0 this weekend with the Powerhouse 2x10 and the 15" and there wasn't enough headroom...:meh:
Switched in the Thunderfunk 550...

Yeah, I love the tone of the shuttle 6 but found it wasnt the most powerful 600w head I've owned. The 500w LMII is much louder IME.

I'm thinking about trading this 6.0 for a MESA Carbine M6 and a touch of ca$h....

    Hi LowBSix.

If you've found your sound, why keep hunting?

If needed, a second 1x15 MESA Powerhouse 8 ohm cabinet may be useful.

Beyond that, you may wish to retain some of your other existing amp options to accommodate a variety of gigs & rehearsal situations.

I really like the Shuttle 6.0 with a 15 cab - Accugroove Tri 115 in my case. Since I got it I have not used my Berg stack - which is why I'm selling it.

I like the 6.0, but for my taste, prefer Thunderfunk 550 and/or MESA Carbine M6

I play it all. Whatever works for the gig. Q+
I also had a thunderfunk 550.It was a nice amp. But The day i bought my Shuttle6 i sold the TF..My TF would limit and just not get louder as i was dyamically.
The shuttle was just as loud if not louder and the tube in the input gave me what i was wanting to hear in faster amount of time and smaller more portable box..... So for me I dig it more.

I too have only had good reports from FOH when i use the DI out of the Shuttle 6 and MAX12 heads.. And i have flown to gigs with it in my gig bag pouch.

Its nice to hear a report from folks that they are having the same results as i am even though they dont have the GB in their signature..:)
    Congrats on your new amp.

At the thread top you said you liked what the Shutlle 6 gave you with the Mesa Cab..
If you like what you bass sounds like now , why not just add another identical speaker cab as long as the total load does not go below 4 ohms.. that way it will be what you have but louder.. so maybe another Mesa 1x15?

I may just be using it wrong... The first impression was great and when I had it in different circumstances, I missed versatility...
I'm gonna give a fair shot...

    Ya never know....

I like a very clean studio clean sound; not the transparency of hifi...
The punch of the TF550 and the rack seem tighter and quicker...
I've tried the M6 and loved it as well...
Don't get me wrong; I like the idea, but I don't wanna work that hard to get a sound...
The Shuttle colors the sound and my others don't...
    Ilike what the MESA does....
I do have and use a Powerhouse 2x10 also...
