what a joke. Maybe they should just list the included brands which what may be a list of 5 to 10 brands ?

What the hell? Can't they at least put the excluded brands in alphabetical order? I'm pretty sure Gibson was listed four or five times.

Since this is about Guitar Center and doesn't sound like a very "Hot Deal" ;), I'm moving this to Miscellaneous.

I went by the closest GC to check this out around 4:30 pm. They have a pretty decent-sized bass collection (at least 50). Exactly two basses in the whole place had green tags: A Squier CV Jazz (the other CVs didn't have tags :meh:) and that new model--I think it's an Ibby or a Shecter--that looks kind of like a fireglo Ric. Whoopee!

Why don't they just say, "Coupon good on Behringer products only" and save some ink?

All of those brands must have a deal with GC to not be advertised at certain sale prices. There's a good chance you can go into a GC and still get items from many companies on the list at the sale price.

That's true. If you know the manger just ask. I ask the manger at my local GC about a Gibson and he said no problem. They just can't advertise it. They want to move gear.

I can't believe that list is actually that long. Oh, Guitar Center [places hands on hips]!

What can one actually *buy* there with a coupon?

remember that half price is also off the list price, so it will probably be more like 25% off or less.

i'm thinking about swinging by to see if they have some new pickups for me.
    i hate going there though.

In the last month they have raised the price of the bass strings outrageously high.

    NOTE:

That besides the items on the list the 50% off does not apply to items already with "guaranteed lowest prices" which accounts for almost any of the big ticket items you'd want to purchase.

In other words: pretty much everything good will still remain at normal prices, even if not on that list.

It's classic bait and switch, nothing more.

Actually, bait-and-switch is something quite different.

Likewise, on most of these sales, they will give the discount on those "except" brands, they just have to put that "not included" disclaimer in the ads as a condition of their retail agreements with those manufacturers.

    Lots of posts confirming this.
