    2. does n e 1 here own the bass and if so, how do they sound

    3. are they very reliable and is the build quality as good as they say it is?

    4. do they ship to the u.k?

I know Pacman does, and I think GrooveFacilitator...

Rest assured, if it's Warmoth, you'll do just fine.

    I just ordered a Geico 5:
    Trans blue finish
    Ash body
    Maple/maple neck w/matching headstock
Duncan ASB2-5 active pickups (same sixe as EMG 40's)
    Gold HipShot Bridge
Gold Gotoh tuning machines (already had them)

Yes, Warmoth does ship[ to the UK.
Yes, they also have everything you need to build but they only carry Seymour Duncan Pickups. If you call them (Warmoth), they will answer all or your questions. Their customer service is excellent & their parts are the same quality of Custom made basses that cost over $2000.

I coulda swore I saw some Geico 4 bodies/necks around...are they still making them? The site doesn't say, and if I could get a Geico 4, It'd be very cool beans.

    Stuck on a rock !
    Hey wotnwhy

Brendan is right - I've got a Gecko Five...

    1. Yep - you could get everything from Warmoth but the selection of pickups and actives is not great. I bought my pickups from my local shop so that when the bass arrived I could get the guitar tech to help me with it. As it happened I did all the assembly work myself.

    2. See links below - no mp3's but a description of the sound.

    3. Yep.

    4. Yep.

    5. Mmmm, now there is a question. Thats very difficult to quantify... If I had the same amount of money to spend again I'd probably get another. I could do with a matching fretless...

This thread will show you a nice pikky of it

And this thread will answer most of the other questions

If you want to know more then just post back. Theres plenty or Warmoth fans around here who are more than willing to help :)
  7. thanx 4 all the info guys, but now i have a few more questions

    1. i've been through all the price listing and all in all the prices range from $630-$800 ish and i find it hard to believe thier so cheap, r there any hidden charges i should know about and does n e 1 know how much it is to ship to the u.k (i couldn't find n e thing on the site)

    2. u mentioned about the choice of pickups, r they not very good or what? is there n e thing better for the same money?

    3. pacman also mentioned files for the nut, could u explane please?
how easy/hard is it to put together yourself ?

    4. are they able to put the bass together there, if so, how much?

thanx for n e more help
