    Which bass is he playing on the "Exit...Stage Left" live album?

    I'm pretty sure it's the Rickenbacker.

    looking at the inside of the album cover, there is a picture of him with a rickenbacker...

    yep, just watched some of the live videos on youtube, its definately a Rickenbacker 4001.

    yeah, he's using the Rickenbacker on the ESL live video. It's just that his tone is very growly...I know he was using a jazz bass during this era also (ESL was the Moving Pictures tour, right?), so I wasn't sure. Listen to Red Barchetta, it almost sounds like there's some distortion in there, its so snarly. :)

    I saw them on that tour. Geddy used his Rickenbackers for everything except YYZ. For that he used his Jazz Bass.
