Geddy Lee Fender Jazz bass (w/HS case and real vintage 70’s tuners) Price drop. Trade: I would be interested in a trade involving a Fretless (Fender preferably but not MIMs) CORRECTION: This bass is not a late 1990s, but 2004/5 according to a fellow TBer. It is one fantastic sounding bass. I just have to get rid of something due to a vintage Jazz purchase. Upgrade: The cheesy tuners that come on these (and they are inferior), are gone and have been replaced with 1978 American Fender tuners from a bass I once had), so there’s no need to upgrade these. Not to mention buying a set from the 70’s ain’t cheap. It has the Fender Original 62 PUs and they sound great. I love them. Maple neck is so nice with no issues. Apologies for the not so great pics. Finish is in good shape—very good for its age. Any small imperfections were there when I got it, but there’s nothing major to me and I’m picky. Two things I know of and want to be clear about: 1. The tone pot needs to be moved regularly or it will tone-wise stay in the full bright sound for some reason—not physically but electronically. Moving it back and forth and using it minimizes this for those who don’t want it full treble all the time. For those who do, it’s obviously no issue. 2. Also, the bridge PU volume does not go all the way off. It’s very, very low (about as far off as you can get without it being off) but not completely off. Never been a problem for me and sounds great. Bass comes with used but good shape hardshell case (Guitar Research). It’s used and looks it, but at lease it not a cheap gig bag. One latch is bent out a little but works fine. All things considered, priced at $825 Shipped CONUS (Basic shipping w/sig required—insurance is extra if you want it). Recall this comes with real USA 70’s tuners and a hardshell case. These things and items mentioned are I think reflected fairly in the price. It has TI Jazz Rounds which I’ll leave on (pricey but sound fantastic on this bass and last), but I can put a lightly used set of D'Addario 170 .105 if you know the really light gauge TIs won’t work for you. Thanks!
