I checked out a really nice Geddy Lee Jazz at GC today and I later imagined swapping my Tribute out for the Geddy since my other bass is a USA Millennium with a Hipshot D-tuner. The D-tuner works much better than I imagned, and the Peavey's 35' scale means that the detuned string isn't floppy. In short, I could see me doing alright without a five, while having two really hot slap machines. DOes this sound feasible, or am I just venting more GAS?
