I recently went down to my local guitar center in san diego that is about 120 miles away about an hour and a few mins of driving if you speeding like a race care driver :) anyways i went up there to the store and tried out a geddy lee jazz bass... the first bass i have ever picked up. I finally get to own one of these sweet sweet basses. I recommend anyone who likes a REAL bass. Mad props to Geddy Lee for making such a nice great bass for everyone out there im not a fan of rush common im only 16 but i like a few of his songs. Anyways thank you for reading thank you bye bye. :D

    None.
    congrats on the GL!!!

but, i have to ask, why did you have to drive 120 miles to san diego to get one?

where do you live in calif?

i know a couple of GC's in orange county that have GL's. unless they sold in the last week or so.

anyway, its one heck of a stock bass.

    Me three!

And by the way, I think that the GL is just a replica of a Jazz bass that Geddy bought at a pawn shop- I don't think he really "made" it.

The trick lies in how Fender sell the same 50-year-old bass type over and over again as something new... ;)

Off the top of my head I can list over a dozen *other* companies selling the same 50-year old bass as something new! :p

Where is el centro CA? There is no way you can drive "up" to San Diego from anywhere in CA.

little do you people know about that...
El centro is like a few miles away from the border of mexico so we "drive up" towards the mountains.

Well, you are still just going left.

So just say, "I went 'left' there to the store".

    Yeah... that's the ticket.
