  1. Looking at trading my Fender P Bass Special and have been offered these Jazz basses by different guys. Won't be able to play and compare unfortunately, so I'm looking for opinions/thoughts on how these compare. Resale value is also a factor for me.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Anybody got any thoughts to add?

I have a MiJ Geddy Lee. It's as good as any bass I've ever played. Haven't played the rest. But I love my Geddy. Nice slim, fast neck.

Is that a Precision Special from the early 80s?

I had an early 2000's Geddy and never bonded with it. I found the neck to be too skinny by the nut for me and too much poly on the back of the neck. It sounded good though.
I have a 80's MIJ P-Bass with a much more agreeable neck. YMMV.
