Hope some one has an answer for this. I recently sold the neck from my Geddy Lee Jazz to another TB'er who wanted to put it on her Jazz. It turns out that she has a MIA Jazz bass and that it looks like the mounting holes don't line up. Has anyone else attempted this? If so, is there a trick to the mounting or is there just a conflict. Please respond.
    Thanks!
    Peace

  3. I know the geddy neck has smaller dimesions but as long as it fits in the neck pocket nicely you can drill new holes. I would say go to a luthier and ask him about it

I did this recently, The holes on a geddy body appear to be a little larger in diameter than the MIA bolt holes. I just routed the holes a little larger and it worked fine.

If the holes don't line up, she would need to fill the old holes with dowels and re-drill new holes.

Mine wouldn't fit on a MIM body to save my life.

    Hope it works out.
