Geddy Lee Sits in With Les Claypool & Lennon

Awesome. I heard about this yesterday. I bought tickets for my whole band to go and see them when they're here. Not likely there will be a Geddy sighting in California, though :)

I was at the new york performance for the delirium. It was a solid show, the band sounded great, but they essentially played the record note for note which is always a bummer to me. While there is enough material for 2 sets, they did one big set and an encore that was mostly just the newest album with one or two tracks from the previous record...and they did NOT play Mr Wright :(

Covers included Tomorrow Never Knows (without Geddy), court of the crimson king, and an extended version of Southdown Pachyderm. All in all, great music but I was hoping for something a bit more unique in the live experience than just a spitback of the tunes as recorded. Interestingly enough, a tiny mosh pit appeared close to the stage and lasted for 2 or 3 songs before the crowd said NO to the moshers and seeing they were outnumbered, they decided that maybe moshing really did go bye bye with the end of the 1990s
