    Hey guys.
I am a HUGE Rush fan, and I want to try to imitate Geddy's tone as close as possible. Heres what I have:

A Squier Affinity P-bass(that's all for basses :()
    A Fender Rumble 100.

On my amp, I have these controls:
    Master
    Bass(-15 to +15)
    Low Mid (-15 to +15)
    High Mid (-15 to +15)
    Treble (-15 to +15)

I'm aiming for his Exit...Stage Left Period
. That low growl, but he still had that klangy Geddy crunch to it. Please help guys!
    thanks!

    Mark

I think the advice people are going to give you is to just experiment. With what you have to work with I'm not sure you can duplicate what you really want, and I always feel that the real sound comes from the player. I've heard players make a $100 sound like gold and other players make a $3,000 bass sound terrible.

  3. Please do a search, there is already a large thread about this topic. ;)
