    Can I use older SDRAM on a DDR motherboard?

    generally speaking...yes. however you will NOT get DDR speeds

    if you throw pc333 ram into a pc2100 slot you will get pc333 speeds.

    not all RAMM can do this(there are some dimms that have too many or too few plugs) but most ram can.
