Gene Simmons: Best Pick Chops Or Best Haircut? YOU DECIDE!!

i swear hes gotta be one of the worst bassist to ever become popular. i wouldn't doubt it if the bassist from fall out boy could solo better then him...

just felt like posting an actual good bass solo, u have to listen for it though ^_^

Was he stopping the mid-blazing 8th notes because he was tired?

Just awesome......just awesome..........:ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

Wow, that video was the complete opposite of everything I think is good about music. It's like they found some kid who's been playing bass for a couple months and put him in front of a stadium and put an awful looking wig on him. Makes me wonder, how the hell does this guy get chicks... oh yeah, I forgot:

But the overblown ego for the minimal talent never makes sense to me. But people want their rockstars egotistical, it's strange. Kiss got famous because they presented themselves as gods, in reality, their music is pretty generic.

I really really don't like kiss.

He's worth more...
He's seen more...
He's done more....

Than any dozen of us combined :bassist:

I took guitar & bass lessons from a KISS insider credited on most releases as "Doc", jammed with Doc & Peter, sat in Ace's central park west apartment before a Comet show (and swiped a Guitar player mag off his coffee table)....

I think "Beth" is the only KISS tune I can make it through without turning it off :D

Fer pete's sake, people. It's a KISS show. He's not up there showing off chops, he's there to make sure the crowd's having fun and giving him their money. And in the bass solo instance, to give the rest of the band a 4-minute breather.

Sorry, you people who listen to music that's only played by brilliant technicians, but KISS has had a 30 year career at the top and have yet to fall even a little, except for when they did The Elder. You don't have a career like that by sucking. Personally, I'd much rather listen to Gene's solo in that clip than watching Jeff Berlin run modes for an hour, or watch Billy Sheehan whack himself off with his tuneless noodling.
