I saw a fairly cheap amp online made my Genz Benz. Now my question is, is it a good, inexpensive amp, or is it a pathetic, cheap amp. I was looking at the ML 200-210T. Thanks.

  2. Genz-Benz are quality amps!! The ML series is their lower line, but I tried one out while testing the GBE250c series I bought for myself, and was just as impressed with their power and tone for the money. This is not a Gorilla or a Rogue!!

  3. Even though I have not tried the exact amp you are talking about; I would have to say in my research (reading and using) of Genz Benz products you can't ask for a better American made amp. I have also talked to one of the local bass sales rep. and he agrees with me.

The amps are very simple to use. The upper end amps give one plenty of controls to dial in their proper sound.

    :)

  4. are genz benz's more higher models like eden and stuff? or are they more or less like swr?

I have the Series II amp which is now discontinued. With two 8 ohm cabs, I have 375 watts. It is very ruggedly built. It is my first amp and I can't really compare it for you as far as comparing it to other manufacturers, but I am very happy with it. The EQ is fairly simple with 4 frequencies to play with. I have one space left in my rack case and am considering getting a pre-amp, but get plenty of diversity out of what's built in. The folks at Genz Benz in AZ are nice to deal with. I accidentally broke a knob and they sent me out one right away. I think they are a very solid middle level amp.

I just bought a ML200-112T - to pair with my older ML-112T (135W, 1x12 w/tweeter). I can use just one, both as a "stack" or as powered monitors. I love the kickback form factor. I was happy enough with the performance of my ML-112T over the last three years to buy the ML200-112T to add to it. I've only had it a short time but have been happy over the years with the direct response from Jeff Genzler to my questions.

When I tried them out, I thought they were really nice. I am still considering one of their smaller tilt back combos as a practice amp to replace my giant Peavey Combo 115.

Thier cabinets (only the 12's and 15's) are amazing... but huge... thier combo amps are pretty damn good too!

  9. Well I recenlty bought the Intro 50 and have been very pleased. It is very simple and sounds great. The kick back is a great feature. It is kicked back just enough that when practicing you can actually hear yourself.

If anyone were to ask me what amp to get I would have to go with the Genz Benz.
