For sale we have a Genz-Benz Contour 500 1-15 combo in really good condition, along with a very compatable GB Focus 15T cabinet that is absolutely mint - only used once. The combo alone can do a lot of gigs by itself; add the cabinet, and you have outrageous quality and volume for this kind of money. $700, plus split shipping, can't buy you more or better sound than this...

That out of the way, let me tell you about my experience with these units. I have two of the combos, one kept in a remote location. That combo is a champ - I've used it with and without FOH in small and medium bars, in 5-6 piece country-rock bands, and it slays. What's really neat is how well this combo can get modern or old-school sounds. The ceramic-magnet speaker helps on the old-school thing, and the preamp circuit has gain and volume controls so you can dial in some hair, and a fabulous "contour" control that boosts treble and bass while lowering mids - these kinds of controls seem to be designed with slappers in mind, but I've found 9:00-10:00 to sound really good for finger style. The compression tweeter can be padded down or defeated via a rocker switch in the back. And as with all GB product the DI is excellent, especially at this price point. 300 watts at 8 ohms, 500 watts with an 8-ohm extension, and a 46 pound combo that rocks it - what's not to like?
Which is why I bought my second Contour cabinet, along with the Focus 1-15LT cabinet…I've seriously considered using these and selling the high-end modular stuff that I've otherwise used over the years…the GB units are that good! BUT I live in a hillside house with many flights of stairs, and have concluded that I'm better off with the smaller, modular stuff. So off to sale we go. The 1-15T cabinet is literally mint - played only once. The Combo has some light scuffing along one front/side edge, per pictures.
I can't stress how good these units are, and what a great rig these two would make for a player who has to cover a wide range of gigs, including multi-band load-in/out situations where the security and convenience of an adult combo can be substantial. Add the 1-15 when you really need to rock it, or travel light...
Asking $700, and split shipping CONUS, for both. I have the factory boxes.
Otherwise, separately, $325 for the mint cabinet, $375 for the combo since it has seen some use.
Trade offers will likely be ignored - looking to sell.
