Hi. Looking for info about the year, model, origin, history of this 18" bass cab? It is covered black carpet, two 1/4" speaker inputs on back, and label says GB 18B 300 Watts RMS. I sit my Shuttle 3.0-10T combo on it and run the second output to it,an interesting combo that sounds pretty good. I've searched the web, product archives, found one thread on TB BUT no pics and cannot find anything else on this one. Also sent a note to customer service, not sure if that will go anywhere but worth a shot. Have a great day!
    Thanks for your assistance.

I play it all. Whatever works for the gig. Q+
I have never seen one of those.. I would only take a guess and say possibly 1990s... But its a guess

My gut says that might be a JBL E155 in there. If it is, I doubt it was stock to the cab. Here's one at a Music Go Round with a different speaker.

Saw that one, different cosmetic design, but close. I think I'll pull the speaker. No sign of screws being changed or otherwise touched on mine, early models maybe?

Not sure what speaker is in there, but those cabinets were available unloaded and also with EVM-18B IIRC. The only way to tell what the driver is would be to take it out and look. The box could be tuned to the TS parameters of the selected driver by shortening the ports, IIRC they were fairly long and ended up being pretty well damped (or low resulting Q) with the average driver.

Cool thanks for the info guys. I didn't get around to pulling it out today but will later this week. Those speakers must be late 80s or early 90s from what I can find online. The ports on mine are pretty short relatively speaking.

  7. Well from what agedhorse (Genz-Benz engineer) said, maybe the cab was already re-tuned for the driver in there?

That is what I am wondering as well, the port tuning is great, not boomy and good low response. Not bad for $150!

What say the experts about the speaker? Kinda cool, guessing 1991 if serial numbers work than way...
