Hey, guys, my bass player just picked up a used GBE500H and SWR Henry the 8x8 cab for his stage rig. We think that the tube in the preamp might be shot, but the user's manual doesn't say anything about how to replace it. Any resources you guys have found on this? Thanks in advance!
Unless I'm missing something... Pull out old tube. Push in new one? The pins should be keyed so it only goes in one way.
Why does he think it's "shot"? The tube should easily last 20+ years unless it happens to be defective. Wearing out is unlikely.
It's like picture tubes in old TV's. Everyone always though every problem meant needing a new picture tube. It's the only part in a TV they knew about.
