So I've got a Shuttle 6.2 with the matching 210 cab, and I am considering getting a second cab to go with it.

If I'm running two 8 ohm cabs at the same time the head will be putting out 600W. Do both cabs need to be rated at 600W? On Genz's website the Shuttle cabinet is only rated at 400W, so I'm assuming that both cabs get the 600W of power distributed evenly.

    Any thoughts?

The pair of cabs would be rated for 800w, so you would be fine.

Each cab would get 300 watts, I believe.

Yes, 2 cabs would share 600w total, not 600W each.
    Nice amp!

I have that exact 210 and a 12T combo. Just sold the 6.0 Shuttle head and replaced it with a 6.2.

The combination of the Shuttle 210T and the 12T works VERY well together - they even stack perfectly. Plenty loud and GREAT sound! I recommend this combination, and the power handling is no problem....everything works.

A pair of 12T speakers are also great - but I decided I wanted more cone area so I went with the 210T for the second cab.

Here's a photo with the original 6.0 head on the stack....

I'd be very interested to hear your review of that rig when you get it. Last week at GC, I checked out a GK MB200 through a NEO 410. They didn't have any Genz Benz or other GK stuff in the store (except for an RB head).

I've got a 6.2 coming next week. 6.0 will be backup. With two GK 112 Neo IIs. What are your impressions of the differences folks? Thanks.

The 6.2 's low end was tightened up a bit from the 6.0. Other than that, I hear no difference.

Its arrived! It looks GREAT, very compact, light. Its taller than my old GK MB500. Its setup to rock already when the baby wakes up tomorrow morning! ha ha

Once I plug er in tomorrow & figure out if its a keeper I may order it. Depends on if the wattage is true or not. My old MB500 was LOUD but felt like it distorted something fierce when pushed. We will see if this stays clean long enough.

SUCH a nice amp in build quality.
  14. You guys that have HAD a Shuttle 6.0 & have gone with a new 6.2 please let us know the differences.
Is the 6.2 a HUGE upgrade? ? Similarities etc? ??
