I have a Subway di and I'm thinking of getting the Genzler 4 on the floor as a distortion pedal. I watched the Navarro demo and it was able to cop the 400 RB overdriven tone, exactly what I'm looking for. But due to my limited understanding of high and low pass filters, am I my duplicating something by using both the subway di and the four on the floor?

I don't think so, as the Genzler is a distortion pedal and the Subway DI is a preamp. They should compliment each other nicely.

No, they are completely independent functions.

On the 4 on the Floor, there is no HPF or LPF on the clean path. On the Subway, there is a HPF on the entire path and no LPF.

The plus is ~25Hz - 125Hz, the Subway is ~30Hz (from memory)
