I was thinking about some of the comments that older members had made about how half of the posts here have a new face behind them. Talkbass is a continually growing community, and I can think of several times in the past month alone where I've wanted to know a little more about either a newer or older member than the small amount of somewhat impersonal information provided in a user's profile. I just don't think it's enough. I'm not suggesting that everybody here should be on a first name basis; I'm merely suggesting that most of the people here would benefit from knowing a little more about the other members here. So, tell us a little more than what's in your profile here--what you do for a living, what your hobbies are, things that you're proud of, and so on. I'll start us off. My name's Nick, and I'm currently a freshman attending Mississippi State University. I'm aiming for a B.S. degree in Psychology, with a theme in music. After college I plan to go to graduate school, get a Ph. D., and open my own practice. Besides playing bass, I enjoy rock climbing, making music, reading, and especially driving. I'm proud of my body, my grades, and the major choices I've made so far. My only regrets are that I don't have a girl and I barely have enough time to keep my bass playing skills from dropping, let alone improving. *I apologize if this has been done before; I did search for a thread like this but I couldn't find anything. If it has then I'll remove this thread.
