i love that rhodes bass sound used by bands like the dandy warhols and coldplay (yellow) and would like to get a similar effect without buying a electric piano. can anyone suggest a way to emulate this tone. I want that warm vintage sustain... i tried out the bass synth pedal but it's a little wonky and fussy for my taste...

kind of like deep electic piano sound with good sustain, a little foghornish if that makes sense. the doors used a Rhodes Piano bass to sub for a bass player, that's the sound i want.
