Getting an "in need of repair" wireless unit

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Tyler Hole, Apr 19, 2004.

  1. So fellow TBer tplyons has sold me a Nady wireless unit that needs to be fixed (going out wednesday). He says it distorts a lil when he plays through it and has some hum with it. He believes it hums because of possible grounding issues, but what do you all think might be wrong with it (be it the hum or distortion). Just looking for something to fool around with here which is why I'm getting it and wanted to get some other opinions on what could possibly be wrong with it.

Thanks in advanced for any repsonses,
    Tyler

Could just be a trivial crappy solder joint....

Also could be a total, useless pile of junk. Can't tell without looking at it. It might be an easily fixable gem, or a total waste of money. You know the risks, now gamble away!

  4. Just $25 left over from the Disneyland trip, I'm not too worried if it turns out I can't fix it!
