Getting power to the Blackstone

Hey guys. Was asking earlier about powering the Blackstone MOSFET overdrive. The solution was to file down the plastic so that the power cable will reach all the way in the pedal casing, creating a secure connection. I used a grip, a pocket knife, and wire strippers. Here are the results! Not pretty, but works like a charm!

I was thinking about taping up the plug to insulate as much as possible. Anyone think this is necessary?
