Getting the bridge in the right spot?

Discussion in 'Luthier's Corner' started by reverendrally, May 17, 2012.

  1. Just about to locate the bridge screw on a my 32" 6 string and I was wondering about how to do this to allow for enough intonation adjustment. Should the front of the bridge be right on 32" or what?

BTW, I'm using individual bridge pieces...

Place the base plate such that when the saddles are adjusted fully in the headstock direction, the witness point of the saddles is 32" from the inboard edge of the nut.
