Ghosting notes

  1. Please can any fellow bass lovers help me! i am in the early stages of playing the bass and i can read tablature and find it pretty easy to learn from! But when it comes to ghosting notes i havent got a clue what their on about!!! HELP!!!!!! :crying:

    A ghost note is also known as a dead note. Basically place the freting hand fingers on the string without fretting it and then pluck with the right hand (if right handed). The result is a thump that is a cool accent to a line.

    Rocco Prestia (Tower of Power) is well known for this technique.
