I would like to venture using ghs pw strings on a 23" sub short scale bass. However, I am hoping that some 34" pw users might help me.
If my thinking is correct, detuning so that the 7th fret plays eadg would be about a 23" scale. I am interested in knowing if these strings have proper intonation defined and capo d at fret 7 in 96, 102 or 106 e string sets.

I don't know the answer to your question but I have a set of short scale Pressurewounds on an Ibanez Mikro and at a 28.5" scale length they sound and feel great. Gauges are 40 54 76 96.

You could detune to bead so fifth fret is eadg and let me know if still stable and playable
