GHS string junky

Discussion in 'Strings [BG]' started by BoognishMang, May 1, 2002.

  1. Anyone encounter where you end up buying strings from the same manufacturer bt total coincidence?
I needed strings for my jazz, and the store didn't have any of the fenders I wanted in stock, so I got the GHS's.
Well after cleaning all the clutter out of my gig bags/cases/etc, I found out that I have the same gage strings on my jazz and schecter. GHS short scale (.050-.107) on my musicmaster. GHS on my 6 string.
I'm still faithfull to putting super slinkys on my Stingray.
I'm guessing that there more available than other strings...

Yeah, GHS seems to be everywhere. You haven't tried Progressives, have you? That's the only one I'm really interested in; the combination of Alloy 52 and a taperwound E and B sounds like something I might like.
