Okay, I am embrassed to ask this question.

I have a short scale bass and just purchased GHS BASS BOOMERS roundwound.

I started to string my E string when all of a sudden I noticed that the Yellow part of the ends is not clearing my "F" not on my bass.

It almost looks like the strings are too short? Can this be?

Is there something I am doing wrong? I have HIPSHOT type A string through...

Ugh, I feel embrassed...If anyone can give me adivse I would appreciate it...

If you have the option to string through the bridge try that. If they still fall short, then you need medium scale strings.

Thanks SGT. Pepper.....Unfornately I don't have the option to string it through the bridge...

Dang, I wish I would of know this before ordering the strings....I guess, I 'll just order through 32 scale bass or just get regular light weights and clip them...

    Thanks again!
