    Gibson experts?
    Gibson EB-0 on Ebay

Besides the pickup and tuners, has this been refinished?
What about the headstock... just looks funny to me.

Looks like a cool bass, but is any of it legit?

  2. Im no gibby expert, but hey...

Headstock has been sanded down, the gibson logo looks legit though, inlays...tuners are sketchy as hell...haha. Is that a crack or a scratch on the lower horn?

May have been refin but meh, looks good. Shame about the replacement PU though, to me that's where half the value lies in these old instruments. :)

The headstock has very clearly been monkeyed with. They were black originally, and you can see the black around the inlays.

    Right. Who wants that Dimarzio.

  5. Anything that's justified 'cause "Billy Sheean has one" = eek

  6. ALERT
USE CAUTION WHEN DEALING WITH THIS SELLER!

I wouldn't trust this seller at all. Look at the
    "100 FEEDBACK in a MONTH !!! ONLY $0.01 WOW !
    This seller accepts PayPal
    # US $0.06" in their store... doesn't look good...

  7. I noticed that too....He's got 20 feedback auctions running, five chintzy jewelry listings and then....a 1960s Gibson.

$100 for shipping? Seems like a lot.

It's being sent from Thailand, so $100 is reasonable. The seller looks sheisty for many other reasons though.

  10. The bridge is from 1965-66, the one tuner looks original but on a 1970 or later---a mongrel.

Headstock has been sanded. They had a black, fiber overlay that's gone on this one. Apart from that, the seller looks shiftier than all get out...

There are EBOs frequently on the 'bay that may need a little TLC, but are more intact than this one. Often you can get one for about 5 bills.

I like how it say No Reserve in the auction title, but it says reserve not met on the auction page.
