I'm looking to clear the mud from my 65 EB-O, any pup ideas? I don't want to butcher the bass so it would have to drop right in.

    Thanks!

  2. DiMarzio used to make a "Sub Woofer" or "Super Woofer" pick up it comes standard in Billy Shennans (Mis-spelled)Yamaha. His original bass was a P bass with an EB-0 right against the neck. I would look at that one first. I don't know if its a drop in fit but its in the right place at least

D/M's got the Model One (DP120) and Will Power Neck Model (DP145).
Same size, they both have 4-conductor wiring (series parallel coil
switching), and ~200mV output. The DP120 has more bass (left graph)...

Thanks notduane, what I don't need is "more bass".

I have a DiMarzio Model One in a Carvin fretless. Serious bottom end. I bet it would sound good compared to the stock pickup. I found it to be very powerful; in fact, I had to have a resister installed to bring down the output, because it completely buried the Carvin stacked-J in the bridge position.
