Gibson EB2 Cherry semi-hollow 30-1/2” short scale bass in very good condition. I’m not a vintage expert, but from the bridge style and serial number I would say it’s either a 1967 or 1968. The mute system and bridge cover are included along with an extra set of control knobs. Tuners, truss rod, bridge adjustments and controls all work as they should. The baritone switch works but is has always made a pop sound when changing settings. Might just need cleaning. It is stamped 2 on the back of the headstock. There are 4 other issues to mention for full disclosure which are shown in the close up pictures: 1) a small section of binding on the back near the pick guard attaching hardware appears to have been replaced 2) a previous owner applied heat to the plastic saddle under the D string. I would guess this was to make a string height adjustment. Not exactly elegant, but also not very noticeable and it works fine. Would be easy part to replace if it bothers you. 3) there is a crack that extends from the binding a couple inches above the strap button inward toward the bass side of the bridge. It was there when I bought it and hasn’t progressed any in 20 years. I took it to a repairman with decades of experience to get his opinion before listing it. He said it appeared to be stable and should not be a concern. 4) a small finish chip near the neck joint on the bass side. There is no evidence of neck repairs or other issues I can see other than normal wear and some light finish checking. The finish is overall very good and shows little if any fading. Bass will ship in the chipboard hard case shown and will be well packed. I’ll try to answer any questions promptly and to the best of my ability. Price includes shipping to lower 48.
