Gibson SG and DS-BS

    I've got a recent Gibson SG, and I'm asking the group if anyone has replaced the neck pickup with a Curtis Novak DS-BS? I'm trying to get more towards the sound of the original mudbucker and what would do the trick?

    Absolutely not.

    The DS-BS is a BiSonic-style pickup, which means it’s a large single coil with loads of texture, clarity, and output. The original Gibson mudbucker had texture and it had output, but zero clarity.
