SOLD Gibson Tobias Fretless Basic

Price Reduced Again....

For sale is my Gibson era Tobias Fretless Basic guitar. According to Gibson the guitar was built in 1995. Overall it’s it very good shape with only a few minor dings on the body, one spot on the neck near the head on the back and two small dimples on the fret board. The spots are shown in the pictures. It does come with a Tobias case. The neck through woods are maple and purple heart with the wings flamed maple. The fret board is Pau Ferro. I believe it has the original Bartolini pickups and 9 volt XTCT-LZ preamp with one DTA 1.3 module for the pickups and one MT-3HB for mid-range boost. The pots are for volume, balance, bass, mid and treble with the switch for passive/active.

Strings were replaced this past December and the new ones are Thomastik-Infeld jazz flat wounds.

I’ve enjoyed playing the guitar and it sounds really nice.

I’ve owned the guitar for three years. Since I would like to get a pre-gibson era Tobias, my wife “suggested” one needs to go before getting another one.
