Our biggest gig to-date was cancelled this weekend!

We were due to support Nebula at the Mean Fiddler venue on Charing CRoss Road, London this Friday - it would have been an audience of around 500, but the two promoters (for the same venue) both booked a support... we were booked second - so we were cancelled.

The funny part is that the band who played instead of us were called 'El Caco' - how Spinal Tap is that!!!! - Being beaten to the post by a band called El Caco.

The only good thing is that Mean Fiddler now owe us a favour... fingers crossed they'll offer us another decent gig...?
  2. ouch!
    bad luck.
our (The Now) singer/guitarist was going to go to that, but saw the support was El Caco.

the Mean Fiddler website said "no tickets" too.

2 promoters for 1 gig?

I hope that doesn't mean it was a sell out!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Yeah, 2 promoters... I think one works for Mean Fiddler and the one that booked us works for Sanctuary - our singer said he was a genuinely nice guy and was genuinley sorry... fingers crossed he'll do the right thing by us and give us another gig, but you can never really tell... until the gig contract is in your hands it's all just talk.

No use crying over spilt mil tho... as they say.
