my band has a gig coming up soon. I am using my friends old fender sidekick 30 its a combo that was made in japan early 80s. When we practice in my drummers garage i can hear myself fine. I was wondering if i could use this for a small gig 250 ppl max. The venue has a QSC 900 power amp and JBL monitors. will this setup work well.

I know a lot of people will say it depends on the music but there is no way I would play anywhere with less than 200 watts (300+ preferable) and plenty of speaker area. IMO, ofcourse.

OK, lets examine a little further. What kind of music do you play? Loud drummer? Two guitarist? Is the guitarist loud? Is the gig inside or out?

Now, do you think you have enough power? Be realistic about it. Its better to have too much power than be in need of it at a gig.
